Winning TV King and starring in a highly criticised drama like "Bullet Brain" has put more pressure on actor Wayne Lai, who has even been dubbed "plastic TV King" by Netizens unsatisfied with his recent work.
As reported on Jayne Stars website, while speaking to the media recently, Wayne Lai admitted, "I've never had so many people against me before! But there is truth in their words. There were some illogical points in the drama, and some parts of it were exaggerated."
Pressured by the need to redeem himself, Wayne Lai hopes that he will be able to do that in his two upcoming dramas, "Will Power", and the currently in production, "No Reserve"; the third instalment to the "Rosy Business" franchise.
The actor revealed that other than the pressure to do good this time around, the psychological aspects of his character in "No Reserve" also stresses him.
Wayne expressed, "The roles are very difficult. I will have over 20 episodes of screen time, and I rarely sign on to that many episodes. It is tiring."
Helmed by Lee Tim Shing, the same person who produced "Bullet Brain", "No Reserve" also stars Myolie Wu as a communist spy, Cheung Kei Sang, Edwin Siu as nationalist spies, Chau Sai Kai, and Sire Ma as fallen Qing dynasty royalty.
Meanwhile, Wayne will portray a pair of twin brothers with vastly different personalities. The older brother was raised in Japan while the younger brother was raised as a guerrilla fighter in China.
