The Hong Kong artiste was seen in public for the first time since rumours of her breakup with Korean boyfriend surfaced Gillian Chung was spotted in public for the first time since rumours of her breakup with her Korean boyfriend, Tyler, broke out recently. Disguising herself with a cap, the singer-actress was seen at her company with her mother yesterday. After ending her discussion about work in her company, the artiste proceeded to Emperor Jewelry to shop.
Seemingly indulging herself in a shopping spree to recover from her breakup, the 32-year-old reportedly spent HK$200,000 (approximately S$32000) on a pair of diamond earrings and bought some accessories as belated Mother Day's gifts for her mother.
Spotting a big group of reporters waiting outside her house when she returned home later, Gillian remained inside her car for some time before finally getting out. Heading straight for her house with a bunch of shopping bags in her hands, she avoided answering all questions from the media.
Gillian later clarified through her manager, 'I just returned to Hong Kong after filming a drama, so I'm really tired these few days. I just want to get a good rest now and I won't comment on the rumours.'
It was previously reported that Tyler would be working closely with Gillian's entertainment agency Emperor Entertainment Group (EGG) to help its artistes venture into the Korean entertainment industry. With news of their breakup spreading lately, questions regarding the working relationship between EEG and Tyler were naturally raised. In response to that, Gillian's manager said, 'Work and personal life are two separate matters; there is no conflict of interest.'
Meanwhile, Gillian reposted her friend's comment on her microblog yesterday which hinted that her boyfriend has failed to protect and treasure her. It says, 'As a man, you should treasure and protect the person that you love. Don't worry, you will definitely find someone who truly loves you some day.'
The Hong Kong artiste reportedly ended her 10-month relationship with her Korean boyfriend Tyler. It was said that the couple could not sustain their long-distance relationship as the two are often kept apart because of work. On top of that, it was said that Gillian could no longer tolerate her boyfriend, who was a male chauvinist.
