The couple are in a rush to get married because Aimee Chan is reportedly pregnant TVB actor Moses Chan finally confirmed rumours of his impending marriage to Aimee Chan following the latter's withdrawal from a TVB drama recently. The actress cited the need to 'settle some private matters in Canada' as the reason for her withdrawal from Cold Mountain, Hidden Dragon.
Reports claimed that Aimee is pregnant and the couple is now rushing to tie the knot. Aimee reportedly 'felt tired' all the time while filming her drama in Malaysia earlier this year and decided to sit out of the new TVB drama, which will begin filming next month, after a health check-up in Hong Kong.
The 32-year-old explained that she would not be able to film fighting scenes in the action drama due to 'health reasons' and was absent at a promotional event for her drama Slow Boat Home two days ago because she was reportedly feeling unwell, further fuelling rumours of her pregnancy.
Moses' recent property purchase was also seen as a move to bring forward their year-end wedding as he wants to give his girlfriend a proper status before she gives birth. The couple are reportedly going to visit Aimee's parents in Canada next month to discuss their marriage.
In a phone interview, Moses admitted that they are currently preparing for their marriage. The 42-year-old said, 'When I was young I always thought that I would get married at 30 years old. We all have to start a family in some point of time.'
When asked if their wedding will be held in secret, Moses laughed and replied, 'I don't rule out this possibility. It's not that I don't want to let all of you know, I just wish to keep a low profile.' However, he added that the couple will definitely announce the good news after they officially get married.
Moses also gave a vague reply, neither admitting or denying the pregnancy rumours, to reporters. 'Thanks for your blessings, but please wait until we get married. If there is good news, I will definitely share it with everyone,' he said.
