After TVB General Manager Mark Lee's recent statement that he would not collaborate with "Beauty At War" actress Sheren Tang in future, her colleagues have come to her aid, saying that Sheren has her rights to voice her concerns regarding the quality of productions.
As reported on Jayne Stars, former co-star Wayne Lai recently shared his views, saying that he does not believe the suspension will hurt Sheren's career.
The actor stated, "If they can't work together then don't. Sheren has jobs already lined up in mainland China. She would not be terribly affected by the suspension. TVB is free to choose the people they would like to collaborate with."
Admitting that he hasn't seen "Beauty At War", Wayne expressed that everybody has the right to express their opinions.
"When a reporter asks me about something, I would always try my best to answer and express myself. We cannot fully understand someone else's understanding of right and wrong. It is important to have our own opinions."
"Beauty At War" co-star Eddie Kwan also supported Sheren in a radio interview, saying, "[Sheren] is a very straightforward person. Sometimes what she says does not completely express what's in her heart."
Meanwhile, the actress' former rumoured boyfriend, Kong Wah believed that her views should be considered, saying, "There are different views to every issue. Right now one person says this, and another says that. As humans we should think from another perspective, and see things from another angle. She is very religious so she will be okay. I'll give her my blessings."
