It was reported that Taiwanese actress Shu Qi has recently revealed that she is filing a lawsuit against a cosmetic brand for illegal usage of her photo.
According to Hong Kong Media, recently, a cosmetic brand published a sexy photo of the actress on a Chinese website as a part of an advertisement to promote their waxing cream.
The advertisement on Taobao.com read, "Shu Qi endorses the trusted brand. A great effect in one application."
A representative of the "Journey To The West" actress clarified through Weibo that the 37-year-old actress has never endorsed the brand and accused the company of deceiving consumers.
"We are going to take legal action against the company for using Shu Qi's photographs illegally to mislead others," her manager stated.
Meanwhile, the actress recently attended an event for the famed sportswear company FILA at the Venetian Macao with actor and fellow FILA ambassador, Ekin Cheng, Apple Daily reported.
The actress revealed that they originally planned to shoot the brand's promotional photos in Rome, Italy, but had to cancel the overseas trip due to her obligation to Hou Hsiao-hsien's upcoming movie, "The Assassins".
When asked about the movie's progress, the actress joked, "I don't know when it will finish. But I hope we won't have to follow the likes of Wong Kar-wai's "The Grandmaster" and shoot the movie for three years!"
