It was revealed that the Hong Kong court has ordered Gordon Liu's former assistant, Eva Fung to hand over HKD 150,000 to the actor first, in a hearing that was held on 25 June.
According to Mingpao, the judge ordered Eva to turn over Gordon's RMB 1.387 million and HKD 149,000 savings that she withheld to the court and release HKD 150,000 to the actor until another case management hearing on 9 September.
Originally, Gordon's legal representative demanded a monthly release of HKD 100,000 from the account in question for Gordon's medical expenses until the trial, to which Eva's lawyer argued that Eva, who was absent during the hearing, has written to the firm in April, saying that the sum in question was part of her arrangement with Gordon, which contradicted what he is saying now.
Her lawyer also felt that the case had many factual disputes and that Eva should be given more time to prepare her evidence.
Meanwhile, Gordon's guardian Amy Fan, who also attended the court hearing, was happy with the judge's verdict.
When asked about Gordon's well-being, the actress said, "He is in great spirits. He gained 6 pounds and his ability to walk is improving. He can also talk a little now."
