According to Hong Kong media reports, Nicholas Tse had sold his father's (Patrick Tse) house for S$329,0000 earlier and rented a new home for him at Yang Ming Mansion for SGD170,000 after. The lavish gifts for his father continued, however, with a most recent purchase of a Rolls Royce car for his father.
The 33 year old star, who is also a CEO of a production company, has always been known to have a keen eye for investment, and has in recent years, dabbled in numerous shops in central Hong Kong.
Most recently, Nicholas bought a S$820,000 Rolls Royce for his 77-year-old father, and spent an additional S$33,000 for a "RR4" number plate to go with it. It is said that the number "4" is meant to represent his father's name.
In order to ensure that his father does not strain himself, Nicholas had also hired a driver to take his dad around.
When spotted on the streets recently, Patrick Tse was seen in a happy mood as he was driven around central Hong Kong for his shopping trips.
When asked about the lavish gifts from his son, Patrick Tse commented that he was very happy with it, but also said that "an amount of retirement fund is missing." His comments were speculated as a form of complain to his son, who might not have given him allowances.
On to the topic of his rented home, reporters asked if Patrick wishes for his son to give him a house instead. He replied that it was not necessary.
Does Patrick take his two grandsons for joyrides in the car then?
"Of course I do, I had just taken them out to play the day before. My grandsons have grown so much and no longer throw a fit," he said, before praising Cecilia Cheung for teaching his grandsons well.
