The Hong Kong actress' tremendous weight gained has forced her to stay out of the limelight recently
Hong Kong actress and former pageant queen, Christine Kuo, caused uproar in the entertainment industry when she was dropped as the spokesperson for a slimming company, after a 20 kg weight gain last month.

Being under media scrutiny for her rotund figure ever since, the 30-year-old actress made headlines again when she was reportedly ordered to stop work to focus on shedding the extra pounds recently.

According to Hong Kong media reports, Christine indirectly admitted that she was indeed put on a long leave. In a recent interview, she revealed, "The Company (TVB) is concern about my health and would often call to check on me. As of now, I'm concentrating on losing the weight. I've been going for lymphatic massage therapy with my girlfriends recently. I don't really know when I'll be asked to resume work."

Previously, rumour has it that the actress's dramatic weight gain (from 52 kg to 77 kg) was due to an over consumption of contraceptive pills, resulting in hormonal imbalance.
