TVB's Executive Chairman, Norman Leung recently announced his plans for the reformation of the company's corporate traditions, known as the TVB Family Culture scheme.
As reported on Oriental Daily website, during a celebratory banquet for TVB's high-rated drama series "Triumph in the Skies II", Norman stated that he was inspired by former TVB star, Liu Chi Kai whose recent interview stated that the working culture in TVB deeply affected his passion towards acting.
"Liu's interview has motivated me to start the TVB Family Culture project in order to revolutionise the company's current corporate practices and cultivate a strong family culture. If other stations can do it, TVB can do it better. We want our artistes to feel proud that they work for us," said Norman.
In order to achieve this, he said, four components will be the company's main targets, which are; respect for employees, practical working hours, reasonable remuneration, and more opportunities for artistes to perform.
To counter naysayers, Norman disclosed that they have already sent out the memos to all employees.
