Actor Sunny Chan may not be renewing his contract with TVB, as he wants to spend more time with his family.
According to On CC website, while speaking to the media at a variety show recording, Sunny Chan revealed, "I have two more months left in my contract with TVB. I am looking forward to planning my future after the contract expires."
The 46-year-old actor, who dedicated most of his time to caring for his autistic son Edgar, is currently negotiating with TVB and is open to renewing his contract, but stated that his priority is getting a higher salary.
He added, "If I am paid higher, I can work less hours and spend more time with my family. I am more satisfied when I spend time taking care of my family rather than shooting dramas."
The actor took a year off from acting back in 2011 after wrapping up the filming of "Curse Of The Royal Harem", solely to take care of Edgar. Though he returned in 2012 to shoot "The Day Of Days", he took another hiatus afterwards to prepare Edgar for public primary school.
When asked about his 6-year-old son's progress in school, the actor lit up and enthused, "He has improved a lot. Recently he took his first exam, and did pretty well. It was over 90 marks!"
