Singer-turned-director Juno Mak recently dismissed rumours of a fall out with his godfather, Willie Chan.
Previously, it was reported that the two have not been on speaking terms after Juno fired the movie producer during an argument.
However, Wenweipo website reported that the director, who attended a party to celebrate the success of his directorial debut, "Rigor Mortis" at the box office, denied the allegations, saying, "Our relationship isn't built on money and has nothing to do with work. Although we didn't start a company together, I will always discuss everything with him. He helped me a lot with this movie."
Juno, who claimed to have just spoken to Willie on the phone, also denied that the latter intentionally missed the party, saying, "He has a Halloween party to attend to, so he couldn't come."
In related news, "Rigor Mortis" has made HKD 7.2 million (approx. USD 928,850) in Hong Kong and Macau after only a week of release.
