It was reported that Wong Jing has decided to replace TVB's first choice, Kenneth Ma, with "Brother's Keeper" star, Edwin Siu, for his upcoming directorial effort with the station.
According to a report on YCWB, TVB has previously enlisted award-winning actress Deanie Ip, Kenneth Ma and their former artiste Hawick Lau as the series' main cast.
However, unbeknownst to Kenneth, who had been enthusiastic about working with the "Young And Dangerous" director, he has been replaced with Edwin Siu due to a clash between Kenneth's martial arts drama, "Cold Mountain, Hidden Dragon" schedule with the new drama's schedule as the latter has been delayed from early to late August.
It was also reported that Deanie Ip has declined her participation and will be replaced with "War Of In-Laws" actress, Liza Wang.
Speaking to the media regarding his replacement, Kenneth expressed, "I know nothing about it. I was so happy when I heard that Wong Jing had mentioned my name and that Deanie Ip will also be participating. It's a shame because I have never worked with Wong Jing and Liza Wang before. Maybe because I have to film "Cold Mountain, Hidden Dragon" till October, and TVB couldn't reschedule. I am really disappointed! I hope that I will have another chance to collaborate with them again."
Meanwhile, Edwin is enthusiastic about his collaboration with Wong Jing, but denied knowing anything about the replacement.
