"A Great Way to Care 2" actor, Edwin Siu, wants the media to stop observing his every move and reporting any rumours of his love life.
According to Jayne Stars website, the actor and his co-star Aimee Chan recently revealed that they felt uncomfortable that their love lives are constantly in the press and hope that viewers would focus on their work instead.
The 36-year-old actor stated, "Why do people have to judge everything that I do? Wherever I go, there are bound to be people staring at me and taking my pictures. We may be actors but that does not mean our lives are an exhibition for the public's amusement."
The actor also denied that he and Gigi Ho are in a serious relationship and felt that he did not have to explain his love life to others.
He added, "Even when we go travelling, we are constantly being photographed, as was the case with Shawn Yue and Kary Ng. It's very normal for two people to fall in love and go out together, so why should we account to others about our personal life?"
In "A Great Way to Care 2", Edwin and Aimee play a pair of bickering friends who later became lovers - the second time for the two stars to play a couple after "Forensic Heroes 3", the drama that once sparked speculations of a relationship between the two.
Asked if there were awkwardness between the two of them, Aimee replied, "Those are words made up by others. It's important not to let those things affect one's emotion when one's an artiste."
Edwin agreed and stated, "We must learn to ignore these negative energies and just move forward."
