Newly crowned third placed Miss Hong Kong Tracy Chu's outstanding performance during the pageant won rare reviews and got the highest votes from the artistes present, it's a pity that she only came in third. Tracy also won the support of netizens as they started a one-person-one-vote voting to choose their own Miss Hong Kong. With regards to that, she quipped: "My family didn't feel sad for me, I'm delighted to hear their congratulations. (Support from netizens?) I'm satisfied to know that they supported me, placing is not important."

It is alleged that TVB will arrange her to collaborate with Andy Lau in a drama as consolation prize for her, she expressed: "If it's true, it's a great prize, surely not consolation prize! However, nobody told me anything. If I've the chance, of course wished to collaborate with Andy, I can't be his girlfriend, maybe as his friend or colleague."

With regards to the allegation, TVB Director of Production Resources, Virginia Lok quipped that the arrangement of Tracy and Andy collaborating is a misunderstanding, "How could it be so fast? When deciding the top 3 at the pageant, the compere joked at Tracy that she would not be collaborating with Andy if she got first placing, maybe this lead to the misunderstanding." She pointed out that there is nothing being discussed about Andy returning to TVB for a drama, if it's confirmed would require coordination of many parties, "Everyone wanted to collaborate with Andy, Wong He and Linda Chung had expressed that they wished to collaborate with Andy in a drama." Virginia said that Tracy need to carry out her duties as Miss Hong Kong thus would be so fast to be shooting a drama.
