Despite the hectic schedule of production for the upcoming Lunar New Year film, "From Vegas to Macau", director-producer Wong Jing was still able to come up with a new TV project, a modern family drama entitled, "World of Turbulence".
As reported on Sina website, a press conference was held to announce the commencement of the production for "World of Turbulence". Apart from Wong Jing, who is writing, producing, and directing the drama, stars Liza Wang, Angie Chiu, Wayne Lai, Edwin Siu, and Hawick Lau also attended the said event.
The 40-episode series stars Liza Wang as Kwan Yuk Nam, a single mother who lost her husband (Wayne Lai) many years ago due to suicide, managing to successfully built a prosperous company and raise her three sons (played by Kenny Wong, Hawick Lau, and Edwin Siu), and one adopted daughter (played by Kimmy Tong).
The drama will feature several subplots that include conflict, romance, jealousy and betrayal.
"World of Turbulence" has started filming in Tianjin since early August and will air some time in 2014.
