Alan Tam Wing Lun two nights ago led the Wynnrs, Priscilla Chan Wai Han, Shirley Kwan Suk Yi, Hacken Lee Hak Kun and other former PolyGram singers to perform a concert, unfortunately Jacky Cheung Hok Yau, Leon Lai Ming, the Grasshoppers and others due to scheduling were unable to participate. Alan admitted that was a shame but would cherish the chance for a reunion, as the same line up will perform a Mainland tour.
The POLYGRAM FOREVER LIVE concert two nights ago took place at the Convention Center as PolyGram era hits were performed. Alan opened the show with FRIENDS and led the singers in the rendition as a symbol of the PolyGram family feeling. When Alan urged viewers to wave their phones, he suddenly switched to speak Putonghua. He even parodied Louis Koo Tin Lok's classic line, "To conserve energy, tires can." Alan said, "when I spoke Cantonese, the front row viewers had no response. So I switched to Putonghua. Not only I was making fun of Koo Tin Lok, he has caught the attention of Chinese people around the world long ago. Goo Jai wouldn't blame m, he recently has improved a lot."
Speaking of many singers who were unable to participate, Alan said, "Indeed that is regrettable because PolyGram still had Cheung Hok Yau, Lai Ming, the Grasshoppers and others, but now everyone belong to different companies. Scheduling is hard and cannot be forced, I am not in control of that." Alan joked that this performance only paid for transportation, enough for them to take the MTR home. He said, "The transportation fund was split five ways between the Wynners. The Mainland performance will be a little better, perhaps the price of the flight. However money isn't important to us." He revealed that the concert will have a Foshan show in October.
Kenny Bee (Chung Chun To) joked that although he was not 65 yet and was unable to receive the "2 buck" transportation discount, he went to the movies with senior admission. He said, "When I took my children to the movies, they had student admission. Actually the movie discount was available for those 60 or over, I could save money and have late night snacks." Alan joked that even when age has reached this number, the most important was that as long as biologically and mentally he was not he was fine.
Chan Wai Han enjoyed singing on the stage very much and sensed the PolyGram spirit. After signing with the all new PolyGram she has begun recording her new record. "Slow work yields detailed product, the new record release will coordinate with the Hong Kong Coliseum concerts next year. I haven't released a record and perform a concert in 10 years, I look forward to it very much."
Kwan Suk Yi regretted that not all of the past PolyGram singers were able to appear, but she and other singers will attend the Foshan stop of the performance. As for the earlier online threat, Kwan Suk Yi said, "I was only doing what an ordinary citizen should do, everything else is left for the police to handle. Lately I haven't been disturbed again. I wasn't too worried because Hong Kong was under the rule of the law." As for finding a man to protect her, Kwan Suk Yi joked, "I don't have any strong man, do you have any good recommendation?"
Linda Wong Hing Ping and Karen Tong Bo Yu performed their own and their friends Vivian Chow Wai Man and Vivian Lai Shui Yun's classic songs. Tong Bo Yu while descending the stairs almost stepped on her dress. When Tong Bo Yu and Daniel Chan Hiu Tung performed, they joked with them wearing yellow and red they looked like tomato and fried egg.
Wong Hing Ping said that her sexy get up already received her husband's permission. "It's been such a long time since I appeared with my PolyGram identity, since I still have something to show of course I would have to show it. Hubby saw it and thought it had no problem, but the other one wasn't too great because it was a little exaggerated. I didn't use tape, but I checked in front of the mirror. I absolutely would have no wardrobe malfunction."
Tong Bo Yu regretted that sisters Winnie Lau Siu Wai and Lai Shui Yun were not present. "I complained that Lai Shui Yun's song lyrics were very hard to remember, she joked that I shouldn't sing them like (Paula) Tsui Siu Fung. She went to Japan with her friends but she might not have performed. I don't need to convince her because she likes to sing too much."
