Hong Kong screen star Ada Choi recently revealed a frightening incident which took place two months ago onboard the plane. Three months pregnant then, Ada was on her way to Taiwan for a holiday with her girlfriends when she felt a little discomfort and was shocked to find herself bleeding uncontrollably.
The 39-year-old sought the air stewardess' help and was sent to the hospital immediately. The doctor verified that there was a crack in her placenta and she had to stay 'bed-ridden' for two weeks.
"You scared mummy to death!" she screamed to her unborn child when the doctor performed an ultrasound scan.
Ada was unwilling to elaborate on the incident when pressed by reporters and quipped, "The baby is now stable and is kicking me harder than before."
To prevent overexertion from work, the actress will only attend a selected number of events for the time being and will resume filming in January.
Ada married Chinese actor Max Zhang in 2008 and they have a 19-month-old daughter, Zoe. Her second pregnancy was announced via a Microblog entry in November.
