Gem Tang or more commonly known as G.E.M. () debuted four years ago in Hong Kong. This Cantopop singer recently visited Taiwan to promote her Cantonese-Mandarin album, Xposed.
With only a few days to spend in Taiwan, she secretly went to Radiohead's concert on July 25th. When reporters asked if this was where she secretly met with her rumored boyfriend, Yoga Lin, she declined saying it was her manager's idea to go. After watching half of Radiohead's concert, she went back to the hotel to practice her piano. When asked if she invited any "good friends" to come watch her concert, she replied that she does not have much friends in Taiwan.
G.E.M.'s concert was a success on the 27th. She performed a set list of 12 songs and expressed her nervousness, "The feeling is like meeting netizens for the first time; most of my interactions with fans [before this concert in Taiwan] was through the internet." She played the piano and sang "Someday I'll Fly" to begin the concert and also covered Faye Wong's "I'm Willing". She sang several new songs from her new album as well. Her colleagues, JPM, also came to support her. JPM gifted her a pair of high heels hoping that she would become more womanly. They also praised her amazing vocals and said they were completely taken over by her voice.
G.E.M. labelled as the "little pop queen of Hong Kong" turns 21 next month and had already opened many concerts in Hong Kong. Her album Xposed is her 4th album with most of the songs written and composed by herself. Several songs in it had already top the charts in several radio stations in Hong Kong.
