The Chinese-Japanese dispute over the East Asia Sea islands are damaging the relations day by day. Chinese, Hong Kong and Taiwanese artists are all putting their work in Japan on hold. Eric Tsang withdrew from a Japanese drama and recently rejected the Japanese government's gratitude to him. Miss HK second runner-up Tracy Chu refuses to withdraw from working in Japan, and will actually be heading over to represent HK in Miss Chinese International 2012 (MCI) held in Okinawa next month (October). Also, TVB isn't providing Tracy with anybody to protect and look after her to ensure her safety, they're just going to let this Miss HK 'out free' without any protection.
Yesterday Tracy was back at TVB City to choose her outfit for the Okinawa trip on October 1st. Tracy chose a sexy evening dress, which pushes up her career line (chest) and that will be her secret weapon. Tracy said she is already used to wearing sexy evening dresses, but this one is the most revealing. When asked if she's worried about the Chinese-Japanese relations worsening and affect her safety in Japan? Tracy said she doesn't feel scared nor does she think there is a need to be careful, she believes the organizers will have arrangements. Also, there are a lot of contestants from different countries that will be participating. When asked if she thinks MCI is held at a sensitive location? Tracy said it shoudn't be a problem, the event organizers will pay close attention to the contestants' safety.
Regarding Tracy's safety in Japan, TVB Deputy Director of Foreign Affairs (Mr. Tsang Sing Ming) responded, he explained:
"We called the event organizers there, they will guarantee the contestants' safety. Also, this is an non-government event which has nothing to do with the East Asia Sea islands. After consideration, we decided to let her participate. (Have you thought of sending someone out to accompany Tracy?) According to the MCI regulation, managers or assistants are not permitted to accompany them. Everything is planned out, there shouldn't be an issue." Source: Mingpao
