It was revealed that "Nightfall" actress, Janice Man has been chosen to play the lead actress in director Fruit Chan's adaptation of the popular internet novel, "Lost On A Red Minibus To Taipo".
As reported on Sina, previously, Fruit Chan had tried to get a hold of actress Isabella Leong, who is currently on hiatus, to make a comeback as the heroine. When she turned down the invitation, he offered the role to Fiona Sit, who was unable to make it due to her recording obligations.
In the end, the director gave the role to 24-year-old actress-model, Janice Man, who was only too happy to play the lead.
"I don't mind being the third choice. As long as the character has potential, I might get my lucky break!" the actress enthused.
Meanwhile, the production has recently begun at Water Street in Sai Wan. Joining Janice Man is Kara Hui, Tsui Tin Yau and Simon Yam.
"Lost On A Red Minibus To Taipo" is a sci-fi romance e-novel written by Pizza. It tell a story of Yau Chi Chi who takes a red minibus from Mongkok to Taipo one night and realises that all the people and cars in the street have suddenly vanished after crossing the Lion Rock Tunnel, leaving only the minibus and its passengers. To make things worse, a stranger wearing a gas mask appears and the passengers begin to die mysteriously. Now Yau Chi Chi and the other survivors must think of a way to survive and return to the real world.
